Why Indian BMI ranges are lower
Research shows that for Asian Indian adults, health risks such as diabetes and heart disease start at a lower BMI than for many other populations. That is why the healthy range used here ends at 22.9 instead of 24.9.
BMI is a quick screening number. It does not measure body fat, muscle or where weight is carried. At your free wellness assessment, our coaches check your body composition and look at your eating habits and routine before suggesting anything.
